5 Things: Book-Signing, Blizzard of '78, City Council to Talk Fire Stations

Good morning, here are five things to know today:
1. Book Signing: Medford author Daniel Luft will be part of a short story mystery writing panel and book-signing at Flora in Arlington tonight. Luft recently had a story published in Best New England Crime Stories 2012: Dead Calm. The event is at 6:30 p.m.
2. Blizzard of '78 Memories: The aniversary of the blizzard of '78 was yesterday, but plenty of people were still shoveling out today. Got a memory of the historic storm? Share it.
3. Mostly Sunny: Highs are expected in the mid-40s today with mostly sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service. Highs are expected in the upper-30s tomorrow.
4. City Council: The city council will hold a committee of the whole meeting at 6 p.m. tonight to discuss a proposed capital improvement bond to rennovate non-headquarters fire stations in the city. The council has asked the mayor and the fire chief to be on-hand of the meeting.
5. Let Legislators Know Your Stance MBTA Proposals Tomorrow: The Medford delegates to the state legislature will be at city hall chambers at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow for an informational meeting on the proposed MBTA service cuts/fare hikes.
