5 Things to Know Today, Thursday, Feb. 3

Finally, a snow break.

Good Morning, Medford. Here's five things to know today:

Snow Days Won't Impact Winter Break, But Could Cause Saturday School: In an announcement yesterday, superintendent Roy Belson said the district wouldn't dip into winter break if it needs to make up for snow days, but it could hold classes on a Saturday, or extend school days, if necessary. Medford Schools have enough wiggle room for three more snow days before such measures would have to be considered.

Grow Italian!: Join Bill McKay at the library at 7 p.m. tonight to learn where to plant, how to plant Italian seeds, and how to cook with the goods from your new garden. Check out growitalian.com for more info.

New Moms Support Group: A weekly support group for new moms at 12 p.m. at the Medford Family Network's area in the high school.

New Content: Patch is rolling out new content this week, it started yesterday. Take a look around and let us know what you think.

Weather: Finally, a break from the snow. Partly sunny with a high of 28 degrees today, look out for ice tonight, and check your home for any pipes that could potentially freeze, as temperatures will dip to about 12 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
