Rotary Club Seeks Applications for High School Trip to Japan

The Medford Rotary Club is seeking applicants for their Japan trip program, which sends two rising high school seniors to Nobeoka, Japan this July.

The Medford Rotary Club is currently seeking applicants to participate in the Medford Sister City Program to Nobeoka, Japan.

We are looking for two incoming high school seniors from Medford, Massachusetts who should have an interest in Japan and would like to travel to Nobeoka as Ambassadors from the City of Medford.

Approximate travel & stay dates are July 15th thru July 31st 2012.

Interested students should submit a one page essay explaining why they would be a good ambassador from Medford to our sister City Nobeoka Japan.

Students will be staying with other students at their homes in Nobeoka, as well as other Rotarian Families in the area.

One part of participating in this program is next year you and your family will be responsible for hosting incoming Japanese students for a few days in July/August 2013.

Traveling expenses will be provided by the Medford Rotary Club.

The students that are selected will need to have a valid Passport.

Inquiries will be accepted until May 15th, 2012.

Applicants should submit an essay to the following address and be prepared for a short interview with our selection committee.
