A car was hit by an Amtrak train in West Medford Thursday morning, according to MBTA police.
There are no reported injuries from the crash, which occurred about 8:30 a.m. The accident occurred at the High Street rail crossing near the West Medford commuter rail stop, according to a tweet by the MBTA transit police.
The car sustained "substantial damage in the accident; its driver suffered minor injuries, according to MBTA police.
Transit police and Medford police were on scene investigating the accident this morning. Delays to rail travel are expected.
