1. SCHOOL COMMITTEE: The Medford School Committee will meet tonight in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, first at 6:45 p.m. for a caucus, then at 6:55 p.m. for an organizational meeting, then their regular meeting at 7 p.m. The agenda can be viewed here.

3. FOLLOW MEDFORD ON TWITTER, FACEBOOK: Last week, the city of Medford announced they had launched new Twitter andFacebook pages to give residents information on social media.
4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: On this day in 1789, America's first presidential election is held. Voters cast ballots to choose state electors; only white men who owned property were allowed to vote. As expected, George Washington won the election and was sworn into office on April 30, 1789. Information courtesy of History.com.
