UPDATE, 1:30 p.m.: Emergency vehicles appeared to be clear of the scene at 1 Cabot Road in Medford at approximately 1:30 p.m.
NECN is reporting the building was cleared at about 12:35 p.m. and workers were allowed back into the building. The search for a bomb was negative, according to NECN.
UPDATE, 12:12 p.m.: WHDH-TV is reporting that police said the threat was phoned in to the address in question and not a specific business.
1 Cabot Road is located off Rivers Edge Drive, not far from the Wellington T station and Wellington Circle.
City assessing records indicate the property is an office building valued at $41.48 million.
ORIGINAL STORY: On Twitter, WBZ-TV is reporting that Massachusetts State Police informed them a threat was phoned in to an office building on Cabot Road in Medford Thursday morning.
The building is now being evacuated, according to WBZ.
Emergency communications indicate the state police bomb squad has been dispatched to 1 Cabot Road. Additionally, the road has been shut down.
Pictures furnished by Andrew Applegate on Twitter indicate Medford Fire and State Police are on scene.
