(Note: These results are not for the entire state, only Medford)
Medford chose a second term for Barack Obama over electing Mitt Romney by more than a 2 to 1 ratio.
Of the 37,554 ballots cast in Medford, 18,613 went for Obama while 8,294 picked Romney, according to unofficial results announced Tuesday night. The results do not include absentee ballots.
A total of 73.47 percent of Medford registered voters visited the polls Tuesday. A high turnout, but lower than City Clerk Ed Finn was expecting.
"I was a little surprised," Finn said Tuesday. "We came out of the gate pretty strong. I thought it would be an 80 percent day, for sure."
