Medford Farmers Market Opens Today

Good morning, Medford. Here's five things to know today:

Farmers Market Opens Today: Head to the parking lot at Whole Foods on Mystic Valley Parkway between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. for goods from local vendors and live music celebrating the kickoff of the Market's season.

Sunny and Warm: It's going to be sunny today with highs in the low 80s according to the National Weather Service. There's a 60 percent chance of showers tomorrow.

City Looks to Collect More on Police Details: The city council approved a measure Tuesday night that could allow the city to charge more for police details by raising an administrative fee on details from 10 percent to 15 percent.

Council Holds Off on Fee Increases: The City Council decided to table a long list of city fee changes proposed by Mayor Michael McGlynn. The decision to table the request was unopposed Tuesday night and came after two councilors said they were concerned over the cost of some of the fees.

New Moms Support Group: First-time moms can head to this weekly group, held at 12 p.m. at Medford Family Network in the high school.
