Medford Firm Certified as Sustainable Business Leader

Medford-based graphic design firm Ace Creative was recently certified by the Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts as a Sustainable Business Leader.

According to a press release from the firm, Ace Creative is the first graphic design firm in Massachusetts to receive the certification.

The firm was a recipient of a City of Medford "Green Award" last October, said graphic designer and marketing director Kim Dostaler.

Ace Creative principal and creative director Ashley Lazonick Harding said the follwing in the press release:

“As designers of both print collateral and interactive media, we are in a position to help our clients make appropriate choices for each project we work on. Using recycled paper for printing is one simple change that most of our clients can make, but it is just the beginning. Using soy and vegetable based inks, maximizing press sheets to achieve the least amount of paper waste, offsetting paper use by including interactive solutions, and understanding the environmental practices of our print vendors are also ways we can have a substantial impact.”

According to Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts managing director Katrina Kazda, Ace Creative "successfully completed an impressive 30 sustainability action items to get certified including developing and conducting a comprehensive survey of print vendors to determine the environmental practices and commitments of each company. We are so proud of their achievements and deep commitment to sustainability.”
