Police are looking for Daniel Rossetti, 20, of Medford, who updated his Facebook status to read "f___ the police" hours after the shooting near Ryan's Family Amusements.
A Medford man is wanted in connection to a shooting in Malden on Saturday, according to Malden Police.
Daniel Rossetti, 20, of Medford, is now officially sought on a single charge of attempted murder, Malden Police Lt. Det. Marc Gatcomb said Sunday.
“This warrant is the result of an ongoing investigation,” he said.
Rossetti allegedly shot another man about 3:45 p.m. Saturday in the area of Ryan Family Amusements on Middlesex Street during a dispute involving a woman, according to a press release from Malden Mayor Gary Christensen.
It is not Rossetti's first brush with the law.
In 2011, he was reportedly arrested and charged with larceny over $250, receiving stolen property, night time breaking and entering, possession of burglarious equipment and destruction of property in Medford. Prior to that, Rossetti was arrested for allegedly chasing a man around a Winchester Burger King parking lot with a knife over a dispute at the drive-thru window.
The status of those charges were not immediately clear Sunday night. Rossetti also took to Facebook after Saturday's shooting, asking a friend to “Call me asap” about 45 minutes after the shooting.
The latest status update? “---- the police,” published a couple hours later.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
