Medford Woman Places 17th in Boston Marathon
Lindsay Willard had a time of 2 hours 55 minutes.
A Medford woman came in 17th overall among female runners in the 2012 Boston Marathon and fifth among American women.
Lindsay Willard, 33, crossed the finish line in Copley Square with a time of 2 hours, 55 minutes and 53 seconds, according to results from the Marathon's website. The time was the second-fastest among Massachusetts women.
Willard was one of two runners from Medford to finish the marathon in under three hours. The other was Joe O'Leary, 44, who recorded a time of 2 hours, 51 minutes and 30 seconds, good for 25th in the 40 to 44 age division, according to the results.
