Pet of the Week: Mama Mia! This Cat Needs a Home

Cat needs a new place to live.

Mama Mia is a gorgeous 8 year old domestic long haired spayed female cat in search of a place to call home. Her original owner left her behind when moving, however, a concerned citizen called the Animal Rescue League of Boston, and now she’s resting comfortably in the shelter.

She’s a gentle girl who enjoys curling up and receiving loving pets. She likes other cats and wouldn’t mind being part of a multi-cat family. It doesn’t get much sweeter that Mama Mia. Come down to the Animal Rescue League of Boston to visit this girl today.

Can the owners of this abandoned cat be found? At the very least, they should be held liable for any and all expenses involved in the care of this cat until it is adopted by more responsible people. The poor feline must be frightened, and it will be a long time before it can trust anyone again.

My guess is the Animal Rescue League folks may have contacted the MSPCA, which has a law enforcement division for cases of abandonment and other neglect. More info on the MSPCA's law enforcement team is here, if you're interested: http://www.mspca.org/programs/cruelty-prevention/.

But I agree, I can imagine being scared and miserable if I was a cat left behind. Hopefully she finds a stable, loving home soon.
