Officials reported high turnouts this afternoon, Patch captures Medford voters as they hit the polls.

Medford voters turned out in droves through Tuesday afternoon. Election officials at Wards 1, 6 and 8 reported that turnouts were well above average through about 2 p.m. A Ward 7 official at McGlynn Elementary School said the turnout was about average.

Arthur Rogers, who oversaw ballots at the Senior Center, projected turnout for Ward 8-1 to be 60 to 70 percent, and said he wouldn't be surprised if turnout topped the 2008 presidential election.
