Tufts University held a cermony Wednesday to celebrate the "topping off" of its new sports complex on College Avenue.
The 42,000 square foot Steve Tisch Sports and Fitness Center will include new locker rooms, film classrooms where athletes can study footage, a sports medicine suite and activity rooms for things such as aerobics, Pilates, dance and physical education. The new building is expected to be complete and operational by September, 2012.
Tufts's new president, Anthony Monaco, who started at the university this summer, attended the ceremony.
