During a committee of the whole meeting this week, Medford city councilors reviewed a space needs study for the city Department of Public Works, with an eye toward the future construction of a new DPW facility in place of the current James Street location. No cost estimates were given, but Mayor Michael J. McGlynn said the project could be done by the end of summer 2014.
On Wednesday the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) announced its Board of Directors has approved state funding for part of Medford High School's new science lab project. Up to just over $8 million will be available for the project that is expected to cost $13.8 million.
Jonathan Williams was arrested Wednesday in Woburn without incident, according to an announcement from Somerville police.
