What Street in Medford has the Biggest Speeding Problem?
There are a lot of people who have trouble obeying the speed limit, but which street in Medford do you think has the biggest problem with speeding?
Medford is a major hub of commuter traffic, being along the I-93 corridor with several other significant state highways going through the community.
As can be expected with a city like Medford, there have to be several spots throughout town where people just can't keep their speeds down, causing concern for residents.
Last week, we asked our Facebook readers which were the worst speeding spots in Medford and we got a lot of different answers from across the city.
Many people have trouble obeying the speed limit, but is there one particular area of Medford where people tend to speed most often? Is there one street in Medford where people often drive too fast? Tell us in the comments section below.

For sure Central ave , would be within the top 3 streets , more so from about chipman st. to spring st . as people try to beet the light at intersection of central and Spring st. We need some long turm relif here, namely Raised cross walks ) seem to work very well in neiboring cities

I think West Medford is a hot spot for speeding. Right on High street before/after the railroad crossing and Playstead Rd is used as a cut through to avoid the train some morning and people fly down it.

We live on a small residential road connecting College to Main St, and cars and trucks alike speed down and tailgate other cars like its a NASCAR racetrack! We have lots of little kids and families here, and it's frightening even to cross the street! Plus we aren't supposed to have trucks on our road, but no one is censoring traffic here....

Well , I see that Spring st. along with Central Ave. seem to be a real problem area ? but what good will come of these listings ? Unless some notability can reach the Mayor mostly! and to the police chief here in Medford.

After living off of Spring Street for the last 4 years I would have to say Spring Street is definitely Top 3 in Medford. People literally fly down the street all day/night long.

Grant Ave, its used as a cut through for Spring and Central Ave. Although they put the stop sign @ Hooker Street.. cars rarely come to a complete stop and instead speed through it. There are lots of children on that street who are always playing and riding there bikes.

Winthrop Street. entire length from Boston Ave. to Oak Grove Cemetary, but particularly between Lawrence Rd traffic lights, and the High School lights. Pedestrians crossing at Victory Park, and cars going 40+ MPH, its a nightmare.
