Good lighting is equally important for public paths in the Condon Shell Park and other neighborhood parks where people run, walk dogs, and walk between home and other activities. Encouraging people to leave their cars at home requires that they be able to see where they are going and not break their ankles along the way! Condon Shell Park is lovely since the renovation, but basically unusable (and unsafe) after dark. This is probably true of other parks too, but this is the one I use most (pretty much daily), so I know it best.
