Hundreds of New Voters Register in Medford - Maybe Thousands

"180 register in one day," according to a Registrar of Voters employee.

The deadline for registering to vote in Massachusetts was August 17, 2012 and as of today, hundreds, if not thousands, of new voter registration forms have been received by the Medford Registrar of Voters both by walk-in and mail-in.

Earlier this month, and as the result of a lawsuit, 478,000 people on public assistance were mailed voter registration forms.

At the time of this article, there was no breakdown as to how many of the potential new voters were registered as Democrat, Republican, Independent or any of the other approximately 29 recognized political parties in Massachusetts.

The State Primary election is Thursday, Sep 6, 2012 and the General Election is Tuesday, November 6, 2012.

hundreds, thousands... GOSH, maybe MILLIONS! I love the way some nameless hack can stir you all up. Doesn't take much, does it. Certainly not facts.

Didn't see any competition for Elizabeth Warren on the ballot this morning. Did everyone stop campaigning? Smart move, I guess, to mobilize against Brown

The dems continue to buy votes. Go back to our "sainted" John Kennedy, His father bought that election and the Dems continue that tradition, especially in this state. We need two strong parties not a one party state. We need choices and people who vote the person not the party.
