The Playstead park needs attention too. Butts everywhere, vandalized picnic tables, used condoms onRead Moret he ground. It's absolutely disgusting. The trees surrounding the fence were an incredibly stupid idea, whoever installed those was a real genius. They completely hide the park and whatever. Is going on in it. No wonder there are never any kids at the playgrounds around here. We go to Robbins farm in Arlington, or Curtin in Somerville. Both are clean, well cared for and always have tons of kids. Yet another Medford fail.

I have a neighbor in Malden who used to actually go into the street and pick up the larger piecesRead Moreof trash -- plastic milk bottles, large paper bags, etc. I always thought she was a little too meticulous -- until I started doing the same thing! Should we have to do it? No. But we do.

I walk in there daily. I think they do a great job with the small staff they now have.

IMO, you should have taken care of it on the spot and not chosen to go to a forum to stir upRead Moreparanoi a and support online. This is not a service to the community without anything but a vague description. A service to the community would be a bit more informative.

Sounds like something that should have been dealt with between the two parties in question.Read MoreGossipin g just because you failed to follow through after being bitten isn't a public service.

First off, I'd like to thank the author for sharing this. I already know that there are plenty ofRead Moredo g owners who are not responsible with their dogs and have a lack of control of them. I see it everyday while I walk my own dog in the area that she mentioned. Now if a similar incident with young males and a Shepard looking dog were to happen again, which it likely will, at least the neighborhood and authorities are aware of it and the owner might be held accountable this time. It really is too bad that she wasn't able to get up after being bitten by a dog and snap out of the shock of what just happened to run after the owner and dog who fled the scene.
