The journey to end cancer starts with a single step. The American Cancer Society invites you to take that step with us by joining the global Relay For Life movement. When you walk to end cancer at a Relay event, it's your opportunity to not only honor cancer survivors and remember loved ones lost, but also to raise awareness about what we can do to stay well from cancer and raise money to help fuel the world's largest walk to end cancer.

Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's signature activity. It is a unique event that offers communities an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Our Relay is held in June every year and is a 15 hour overnight event and is open to residents of Medford, Somerville and Malden. Teams of 10 to 15 people camp out at a local high school, college, park, or fairground and take turns walking, jogging, or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event.

 Since Relay For Life is a community gathering rather than an athletic event, anyone and everyone can participate. Local businesses, clubs, families, friends, hospitals, churches, schools, and service organizations form teams. These teams share a common purpose- their support of the American Cancer Society's mission.

The event will be held at the Field of Dreams at Medford High School on June 1st-2nd from 4pm-7:30am. Register online at RelayForLife.org/MedfordMA.
