"IT'S GREAT TO SKATE" 8-WEEK LEARN TO ICE SKATE CLASSES SATURDAYS AT 9:00 AM - LoCONTE RINK - MEDFORD
Medford Recreational Hockey and Figure Skating Association is sponsoring an all new "LEARN TO ICE SKATE PROGRAM" taught by Professional Ice Skating Instructors. The program will consist of a total of 8-weeks of on-ice lessons. THE FIRST WEEK (Saturday January 19th) IS A FREE CLINIC !!
On the Second Week begining Saturday January 26th, Classes Begin for 7-more weeks. The cost of the clinic is $100.00 per skater. All on-ice lessons will be held on Saturday mornings from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the LoConte Rink off Route #16 within the Hormel Stadium Complex in Medford.
THE LEARN TO ICE SKATE CLINIC GOALS ARE:
1. To provide a fun and safe skating experience for the beginner as well as the more experienced skater.
2. To teach correct technique of the basic elements of ice skating.
3. To promote PHYSICAL FITNESS and just to have FUN !!
All new skaters and young skaters ages 10 and under need to have a bike helmet or hockey helmet.

More About Medford Youth Hockey, Girl's Hockey and Figure Skating
Medford Youth Hockey offers hockey and ice skating programs for boys and girls ages four to eighteen. Programs are held from October through March, and are held at the city-managed LoConte Rink, which is located within the Hormel Stadium Complex (off Route 16). Hockey programs include mites (ages 6-8), squirts (9-10), peewee (11-12), bantams (13-14) and midgets (high school). Figure skating programs are for skaters working in all areas of the sport, including basic 1-4 and basic 5-8.
