Relay For Life Team Captain's Meeting
If you live in the Medford/Somerville area and are looking for a way to Celebrate cancer survivors and Remember those who have been lost to cancer, here is your way to Fight Back!
Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's signature activity. It is a unique event that offers communities an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Our Relay is held in June every year and is a 15 hour overnight event. Teams of 10 to 15 people camp out at a local high school, college, park, or fairground and take turns walking, jogging, or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event.
Since Relay For Life is a community gathering rather than an athletic event, anyone and everyone can participate. Local businesses, clubs, families, friends, hospitals, churches, schools, and service organizations form teams. These teams share a common purpose- their support of the American Cancer Society's mission.
COME ONE, COME ALL to our Relay Team Captain Meetings! This is your chance to learn more about how you and your family/friends/co-workers can get involved in the fight against cancer. Our meetings are held every 1st Thursday of the month in February, March, April and May. Meetings take place at the Medford Elks Lodge, 19 Washington St Medford, MA 02155 and are open to all residents of Somerville, Medford and Malden.

More About Medford Elk Lodge
Established in 1904, this lodge offers two function halls for rental, and has a private lounge its members. The main function hall, with an entrance behind the building, can be rented for larger functions, while the Fireside Lounge can be rented for smaller functions of 40 to 50 people. Parking is available in the side lot and behind the building.
