It is a unique eve nt that offers communities an opportunity to participate in the fight ag ainst cancer. Our Relay is held in June every year and is a 15 hour over night event. Teams of 10 to 15 people camp out at a local high school\, college\, park\, or fairground and take turns walking\, jogging\, or run ning around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event.\n \;\nSince Relay For L ife is a community gathering rather than an athletic event\, anyone and everyone can participate. Local businesses\, clubs\, families\, friends\ , hospitals\, churches\, schools\, and service organizations form teams. These teams share a common purpose- their support of the American Cance r Society's mission.\n \;\nCOME ONE\, COME ALL to our Relay Team Cap tain Meetings! This is your chance to learn more about how you and your family/friends/co-workers can get involved in the fight against cancer. Our meetings are held every 1st Thursday of the month in February\, Marc h\, April and May.
