The Medford City Council will elect a new president Tuesday, according to its agenda.

The council’s longtime president, Robert Maiocco, did not seek re-election this fall after 15 terms on the council, 13 as president. Political newcomer Adam Knight replaced him on the council.

The council meeting starts at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, in Medford City Hall’s Howard F. Alden Memorial Auditorium.
