Sochi Olympic Medalist Dines in Medford

Simon Shnapir, the pair figure skater who won a bronze medal at the Sochi Olympics as part of the United States contingent in the new team event, received a round of applause Saturday night as he dined at Bistro 5 in West Medford, according to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

Shnapir, of Sudbury, who skates with Rhode Island’s Marissa Castelli, brought his bronze medal to the restaurant. The duo placed ninth in the pairs competition at the games.
