National Day of Prayer


Thursday, May 1 will mark the 63rd annual National Day of Prayer, a time of stepping forward in humility to nationally recognize our need for God as a country. This year's theme, "One Voice, United in Prayer," emphasizes
"the need for individuals, corporately and individually, to place their
faith in the unfailing character of their Creator, who is sovereign
over all governments, authorities, and men." 
Romans 15:6, the Scripture for this year, highlights the focus of this
year's National Day of Prayer: "So that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."  There are a number of events scheduled throughout the Commonwealth, including one to be held at the State House in Boston on Thursday, May 1 from Noon to 1:00 pm in Gardner Auditorium.
