Hallmark Health System to offer free chronic pain program

Is living with chronic pain affecting your life? Chronic pain may cause sleep loss, increased stress and loss of motivation around everyday activities. Learn to manage pain and continue living a fulfilling life through our free six session Chronic Pain Self-Management Program.

Participants will learn how to deal with problems such as frustration, fatigue, isolation and poor sleep, exercise appropriately to maintain strength, flexibility and endurance, use medications appropriately, communicate effectively with family, friends and health professionals, eat healthy, pace activities and rest as well as evaluate new treatments.

This session will meet on Wednesdays from Jan. 8 to Feb 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 at the Saltonstall Building: Edgerly Hall, 121 Riverside Ave. in Medford.  Registration is required and space is limited. Call Joya Pezzuto at 781-338-7823 to register. The program is sponsored by Hallmark Health System and Mystic Valley Elder Services.
