Hit the slopes at Nashoba Valley Ski Area with the Jimmy Fund to help fight cancer

Calling all skiers and snowboarders! Grab your boots and goggles, strap into your skis or snowboard and hit the slopes for the 19th annual CSC Jimmy Fund Snow Challenge. Skiers and snowboarders of all abilities are invited to Nashoba Valley Ski Area on Saturday, Feb. 1, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Join your colleagues, community group, or friends, for a day of team and individual ski and snowboard racing to support adult and pediatric cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

“For more than 18 years, CSC and our volunteers have been dedicated to the Jimmy Fund and the Snow Challenge to help Dana-Farber find a cure for a disease that has affected us all in some way,” says Didier Putzeys, event founder. “We’re looking forward to hosting skiers and snowboarders for a fun day on the mountain for this worthy cause.”

The entry fee for a four-person race team is $240 and for individual racers, $70. All team racers receive a lift ticket for the day and a barbecue lunch. Teams are also encouraged to fundraise—for every $150 raised above the registration fee, one second is deducted from the final race time, so everyone has a chance to win. After hitting the slopes, all participants gather in the Nashoba Valley Ski Area lounge for a live auction, awards ceremony, and après-ski party to celebrate.
