Red Sox Catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia, a HomeStart supporter, joined co chairs William Boynton and Jeff Conway, both members of HomeStart’s board, in heading up this year’s gala.  Saltalamacchia was not present at the event due to a Red Sox game versus the New York Yankess in New York, but he sent his best wishes through a video played at the event with the clear message that HomeStart programs work toward ending homelessness and asks guests to support the organization

The event was held at the JFK Library on September 7, 2013.  The Gala’s honorees were Marianne Ajemian, longtime board member and partner at Nutter, McLennan & Fish and Richard Holbrook, President and CEO of Eastern Bank Corporation.  WHDH-TV news reporter/anchor Janet Wu was Mistress of Ceremonies.
