Rockland Trust Appoints Charles J. Cope, Jr. First Vice President, Commercial Loan Division
Rockland Trust announced today that it has appointed Charles J. Cope, Jr. as First Vice President in the bank’s Commercial Loan Division. He will be responsible for spearheading a commercial lending team in the Metro West and Metro North regions of Greater Boston.
“We are thrilled to welcome Charlie on board and look forward to having him at the forefront of Rockland Trust’s Commercial Loan Division,” said John Hayes, Senior Vice President and Commercial Loan Regional Manager at Rockland Trust. “Charlie joins Rockland Trust with more than twenty five years of experience in the banking industry, which will help expand our ability to serve the business communities in these key regions.”

Prior to joining Rockland Trust, Cope served as Senior Vice President, Market Manager at RBS Citizens Bank. He previously held positions at Century Bank and Cambridge Trust Company as well.

Cope earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Finance from Boston College and later attended Stonier School of Banking. In addition, he serves as Treasurer of the Wayland High School Scholarship Committee and President of the Wayland Hockey Association. Cope resides in Wayland, MA with his wife, Andrea, and three sons, Charlie, Jimmy and Tommy.
