Nineteen Medford residents filed million-dollar tax returns in 2011, an increase of 6 percent over the previous year.
That means that one out of every 3,002 residents filed a million-dollar return, the Boston Business Journal reported.
Medford is short of the Massachusetts average by community, which was 51, but higher than the state median, which was 14.
