Sniff, sniff… you smell good. Can I come home with you? I really want a home and even from here I can tell we are a match. My name is Mitzie Horn. I am a one-year-old black and white puppy. I can’t give you a pedigree since I am a combination of things as you can see. But I think I really turned out to be quite sleek, elegant and special… a one of kind.
I am a very happy and friendly girl. I have met one other dog here about my own size and I love to play and wrestle with her. I also love to chase balls and play with stuffed toys. I have a special toy I keep in my cage when I can’t be outside playing. Outside is where I love to be. I can run there and I do laps around the fenced in yard at the VCA Wakefield, where I am currently being fostered. I might just make a good companion if you like to go jogging. I don’t have my leash manners yet, but don’t pull much so I know I will be a good leash dog once you teach me how that works.

I am very smart and eager to learn all kinds of things: how to sit, lie down and obey your commands. I think I might like to do some special training for agility or Frisbee catching. Or we could just take long walks together. I am young, so I plan on many years as your companion. We have lots of time to get to know each other and discover our favorite activities.
I am so grateful to PAWS and the VCA for taking care of me. When I first got here, I was very scared and shy. But I quickly realized that everyone is my friend. Ok, so I jump up a little too much. That is because I love everyone and want to kiss them. I did say I haven’t been to school yet. I can learn whatever you teach me and be your perfect dog. I am already house-trained and have not had one accident since I’ve been here. So, you see, I am ready to go home with you and start our life together.
