Tony Sumpter, 42, Died Monday; Fund Established to Pay for Funeral, Help Family

Sumpter grew up in Medford.

Tony T. Sumpter, a 42-year-old Medford native living in Framingham, died Monday, Jan. 13.

A husband and father, Sumpter collapsed at home and was taken to MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, where he died.

He leaves his wife Amie Sorel and their daughter Savanna, 3.

Sorel has created a fund to help pay for Sumpter's funeral as well as Savanna's future.

Friends and family can donate to the GoFundme.com account. As of early Wednesday morning, six individuals had raised $235.

Sumpter was working until he was diagnosed with a medical condition, which forced him to go onto disability.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
