Were You Impacted by Monday’s Massive Gmail Outage?

Millions of Gmail users on Monday were left waiting, and waiting, and waiting, for emails after a system-wide outage had email delivery delayed anywhere from an hour to several hours.

For those attached to their email for business purposes, it made the start of the work week a pretty stressful one.

According to the Boston Herald, the company first acknowledged the issue on its apps status dashboard  just before 10:30 a.m. Monday morning, saying it was investigating reports of an issue with Gmail, along with Google Docs and Good Presentations.

By 11;45 they believed the problems affected less than 0.023 percent of users, but by 2 p.m. they upped that number saying more than 50 percent of all users were impacted.

Gmail system issues were resolved before 5 p.m. Monday night.
