Hot Off the T: New Art Exhibits, Winter Market and More

Five things to do in Boston this weekend.

1.) If you’re looking for a little culture, there are a few exhibits opening at the Museum of Fine Arts this weekend. Check out “Aphrodite and the Gods of Love,” “Around the World in Watercolor, 1860-1920,” or “An Unspoken Dialogue with Japanese Tea.” Ticket prices vary depending on the exhibits selected, membership status and age. Take the Orange Line to the Green Line E Branch to the Museum of Fine Arts Stop and cross Huntington Avenue to the museum.

2.) Beacon Hill is as picturesque a neighborhood you’ll find in America, so why not of the area Saturday at 10 a.m.. You can meet a Photoworks tour guide at the Shaw Memorial across from the state house, where you’ll get a quick primer on taking better photos and then head into the hill. Take the Orange Line to Downtown Crossing Station and walk six minutes to the Shaw Memorial.

3.) With a relatively warm weekend in the works, Sunday is a perfect time to , where you can find local produce, grass-fed beef and more from area farmers and producers. The market, at 485 Harrison St., starts at 10 a.m.. Take the Orange Line to Tufts Medical Center Station and walk 13 minutes to 485 Harrison St.

4.) You’ve listened to jazz for dinner and soul for breakfast, how about some ? West End Johnny’s hosts Errol Strength and D'Conscious Band every Sunday at 11 a.m.. Take the Orange Line to Haymarket Station and walk five minutes to West End Johnny's.

5.) Sure, the NFL playoffs start this weekend, but the Patriots have a bye in the first round. You have plenty of time to pack up the kids and head to the Boston Public Library for a at 2 p.m. Sunday. Take the Orange Line to Back Bay Station and walk five minutes to to the library.
