Jennifer Gasoi Beats Out Medford’s Alastair Moock for Grammy

Gasoi won for "Best Children's Album."

Jennifer Gasoi, a Canadian songwriter, won the Grammy Award for “Best Children’s Album” on Sunday, beating out Medford’s Alastair Moock in the category.

Gasoi won for her album “Throw A Penny In The Wishing Well.”

Moock was nominated for “Singing Our Way Through: Songs For The World’s Bravest Kids,” which was inspired and co-written by his 7-year-old daughter Clio, who was diagnosed with leukemia in July 2012.
