Didn't see the big deal; only the big prices for the food and vegetables! $1.25 for one small tomato? YIKES!

I find that hard to believe. Though it's true that prices are higher when you don't buy food that's grown far away, tended by an army of underpaid migrant workers, sprayed with all manners of toxic pesticides, benefits some big corporate entity and not the farmer, and tastes like a cardboard box. I see so many laments on this list about how terrible things are now and how great they used to be. One of the changes is that veggies used to cost more than they do now because they weren't growing them in labs they were grown in the ground.

Valant effort on the part of the mayor to look like he's doing something for the people of Medford besides taxing them to the maximum. The governor s planning to give more assistance to the cities in the 2013 budget. Now we'll see if it reflects in a reduction of the taxes or to more salary increases for the Mayor And the city council
