Boston to Begin Late-Night Food Truck Program in April

Food trucks will be able to serve an hour later in three sections of Boston starting April 1.

Starting April 1, Boston will begin a late-night food truck pilot program. 

Officials this week approved a pilot program to allow food trucks to stay open an extra hour until midnight on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in three separate areas of Boston. The trucks will take root in the areas of Copley Square, Boston University and Northeastern University, WBUR reported.

The three sites were chosen based on foot traffic and public safety, according to WBUR, which reported that the following trucks will participate in the pilot program:

Boston Mayor Martin Walsh's Mobile Food Truck Committee created the food truck program, which, if successful, may expand to other locations throughout Boston, according to Boston.com.
