Medford Deli Appeases Residents with Sandwich Name Change

See why residents said the deli's signature sandwich's name needed to be changed.

The Medford Deli has changed its signature sandwich name from “The Meffa” to “The Medford,” according to a Friday Facebook post.

The deli did so due to “several customers requests.”

As I learned in July, you never called Medford, “Meffa.” However, “Medfid” and “Mefid” appear to be acceptable. At the time, I referenced the sandwich as one of the reasons I assumed “Meffa” was acceptable.

The Medford has breaded chicken breast, provolone cheese, marinara and thinly sliced prosciutto.
