Network Health Selected to Participate in MassHealth CarePlus Program

Network Health, a Tufts Health Plan subsidiary that provides access to health coverage for more than 215,000 Massachusetts residents, announced today that the health plan has been selected by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) to enter contract negotiations for a contract to serve MassHealth CarePlus program members in all five regions of the Commonwealth. CarePlus is a new MassHealth benefit plan for Massachusetts residents ages 21 – 64 with incomes no greater than 133% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL).

CarePlus coverage will cover many residents who now have Commonwealth Care, MassHealth Essential, MassHealth Basic, the Medical Security Program or the Insurance Partnership, or who receive services paid for by the Health Safety Net.

“We are excited for the opportunity to serve MassHealth’s CarePlus members,” said Debbie Gordon, Network Health chief sales and marketing officer. “Our participation reflects our long history of successfully partnering with the state to provide affordable, high-quality health care, and our deep commitment to serving this population in an effort to improve the health and wellness of the diverse communities we serve.”
