Good morning, here are five things to know today.

Should terminally ill patients be allowed to be given a lethal drugs at their request? That's one question Massachusetts voters will be expected to consider when the hit the voting booth in November. The initiative, called "Death with Dignity," received enough signatures to be placed on the ballot in November, according to the state's attorney general.

Weather: Heavy rain is possible today with highs expected around 80 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. If rain does hit Medford, it could bring flash flooding.

Home sales in Medford last month were more than double the total from June 2011, according to recent housing data. The median home price stayed at $340,000 year-over-year in Medford, according to the data.

: The Middlesex County deputy sheriff after an early-morning, single-car crash in Billerica Wednesday died from a self-inflicted gunshot to the head, according to the Lowell Sun. The Middlesex County Sheriff’s office has identified the deputy as Edward “Teddy” Dillon III, 27, of Lowell, but has not commented on his cause of death. The Middlesex County District Attorney’s office has only said that his death was not suspicious and no charges are being filed, according to the Sun report.

The 2012 London Olympics excitement begins in a few days. But there are so many events that finding the ones you want to watch can be tough. NBC and its networks announced it will show every event, so no matter who you are rooting for you should be able to find his or her competition.
