Crosswalks, The Green Line, Arrests in MacDonald Park

Here's five things.

Good morning, here are five things to know today:

A man who was arrested again Friday and charged with larceny, according to police. Nicholas Sugrue, 19, of 35 Hillsdale Road, was arrested near his home just before midnight Friday and charged with larceny over $250 and an outstanding warrant, according to the police log. Sugrue was free on $750 bail on charges of armed robbery, assault with a dangerous weapon and larceny stemming from the incidents in Medford Square.

The city council will hear a presentation on the possible second phase for the green line extension project in a 6 p.m. committee of the whole meeting Tuesday at City Hall. Crosswalk safety in the area of George Street and Winthrop Street is expected to be discussed during the council's 7 p.m. meeting.

3. Warmer Weather Stays, Chance of Rain, Too: Temperatures are expected to peak in the mid-60s again today, with a 20 percent chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service. There's a 50 percent chance of showers tomorrow.

4. Arrests at MacDonald Park Raise Questions: A total of 31 men were arrested by State Police last summer, mostly on trespassing charges, according to a Boston Globe report. Gay rights advocates met with the Governor over the arrests to raise questions of whether police were using minor violations to target gays, according to the Globe, but State Police say they are just looking to keep the park safe.
