Five Things: An Agenda, Warm Temps, and Promotions

Here's five things for Tuesday, Jan. 10.

Good morning, here are five things to know today:

1. Agenda: New school technology, the MBTA proposal to cut bus routes, and the new city yard are just some of the issues Councilor Robert Penta wants to discuss during the City Council meeting tonight. The action begins 7 p.m. at City Hall.

2. Warming Trend Continues: A cloudy morning will lead to a gradual clearing as the temperature climbs to 46 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The night will remain mostly clear with a low temperature of 25 degrees.

3. Moving On Up: The Medford Fire Department promoted three firefighters yesterday during a ceremony at City Hall. Todd Evans was promoted to lieutenant, Frank A. Giliberti III was bumped to captain, and Francis Fusco became a deputy chief.

4. Get Your Skate On: Public skating is open at LoConte Rink today at 10 a.m. for free. Find a full schedule here.
