High Wind Watch in Effect for Medford

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a High Wind Watch for southeast Middlesex County in effect from late Thursday through Friday afternoon.

Winds will be 30-40 miles per hour with gusts up to 60 mph. The strongest winds will occur Friday between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The NWS warned that the winds could knock down trees and powerlines, leading to power outages and property damage.
