On the Agenda: Food Carts, Massage Parlors, Door-to-Door Salespeople

Some of the items on the agenda for the city council's Tuesday night meeting.

Before its regular 7 p.m. meeting at City Hall, the City Council's subcommittee on licensing will meet at 6 p.m. in room 207 to discuss mobil stationary food carts, according to a subcommittee agenda. They will resume discussion


The council's regular 7 p.m. meeting is expected to include the following items:

  • A resolution from council president Robert Maiocco to have the city bring massage therapy licensing and regulation under city approval. Earlier this month, after massage therapists in Medford allegedly agreed to perform sexual favors for cash.
  • A resolutions from councilor Robert Penta, one to discuss recent door-to-door solicitation in the city by an organization called Just Energy, and another resolution to discuss the recent audit of the Medford Housing Authority.
