I'd like to see the time of the accidents at Rte 16 and Winthrop. Are most of them at rush hour?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, that the intersection of Boston Ave. and Rt 16 is a very dangerous place to make a turn, specifically if you're on 16 going in either direction, attempting to turn onto Boston Ave; In both cases, the turn is "blind." That is, the opposite left turn lane blocks your view of oncoming traffic in the opposite right-hand lane. Easy for me to say, but the obvious, ready solution is to mark out separate left-turn lanes and time the lights to allow for left turns only, like the lights do at the infamous, aforementioned intersection of Rt. 16 and Winthrop. A widened intersection plus the light timing changes would be even better. Having said all that, did I read somewhere that the changes I'm proposing have, by some miracle, already been put in the planning stages? Your feedback is welcome.
