Blue Christmas Service

Join Grace Episcopal Church for our Blue Christmas service on Wednesday December 18th at 7pm.

Christmas can be a painful time for some.  The constant refrain on the radio and television, in shopping malls and churches,
about the happiness of the season, about getting together with family and
friends, reminds many people of what they have lost or have never had.  The death of a loved one, the anguish of
broken relationships, the insecurity of unemployment, the weariness of ill
health, the pain of isolation - all these can make us feel very alone in the
midst of the celebrating and spending.  We
need the space and time to acknowledge our sadness and concern; we need to know
that we are not alone.

As the days grow shorter, we may find our spirits sinking and we may feel the
darkness growing deeper around us.  We
need encouragement to live the days ahead of us.

For these reasons, Grace Episcopal Church is offering a special “Blue Christmas” Service (sometimes called “The Longest Night Service”) on
Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.
Please join us as we come together for prayer and healing as the longest
night of the year approaches; and know that you do not travel in this darkness
alone.   The church is located at 160
High St, Medford, MA.  Any questions may
be directed to the church office at (781)369-7215.
