"Niagara Falls or Bust!"

Medford Recreational Hockey has embarked on a fundraising campaign to reduce the costs of the travel teams participation in the Niagara Falls tournament in February 2014.  In 1975 all of the Medford Youth Hockey Leagues joined and became Medford Recreational Hockey Association Inc. The organization exists to teach the children in the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority, so they will be well adjusted, stronger and happier, and will grow to be good, decent, healthy and trustworthy adults.

President Patrick McCabe reports there are currently 195 youth in the travel team program. The league will be taking 10 teams to the Niagara Falls tournament in February 2014. Traveling to a tournament, bonding with your team, meeting children from all over and playing in a tournament- this is a great experience they want every child to be able to enjoy and grow from. No doubt about it, hockey is an expensive sport, however Medford Rec Hockey endeavors to raise enough funds to offset the expenses so that every child can go.The league is seeking tournament sponsors as well as participation in the fundraising events they have planned.  Learn more about the league and the difference they make for the children of Medford at www.MedfordRecHockey.com .
