Brothers in Arms: Medford Brothers Come Home to Visit New Plaque at Honor Roll Park

Medford brothers Nick and Glen McNulty returned to town Tuesday to visit the new plaque at Honor Roll Park.

The plaque was dedicated at a Nov. 3 ceremony to Medford veterans, like the McNulty brothers, who served in Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom.

“We both thought the memorial was quite impressive,” Nick said Wednesday.

The visit was the McNulty brothers first time in dress uniforms together in their more than 20 years in the Army. The brothers missed the initial ceremony, as Nick was at Camp Edwards in Bourne, Glen at U.S. Central Command in Tampa, Fla.

Glen lives in Tampa now, and Nick recently moved to Windham, N.H., with his wife. They still own property in Medford, however.

Glen was also in town for Command Sgt. Maj. David Costa’s retirement ceremony at the State House. Costa retired after 44 years. Glen served with him in Iraq.

Nick recently served in Kabul, Afghanistan, in 2011-2012.
