Circle the Square

Dear Neighbors,

I would once again like to thank all the organizers and volunteers who put together Circle the Square.  It was attainable to some of the elderly and disabled who could walk accross the street (from the high rises), to many young people with their kids (Medford's Future), people of all colors and the earth-crunchies too (including earthie-crunchie people of color.  It had a real sense of community for everyone including kids.  I spoke with atleast five new people at length today.  And it gave me just one more connection point with my neighbors (though as you know, I'm not shy).  Again, I would like to especially thank all those that made the event Circle the Square happen from the home-towners to the professional middle class.  Thank you.

I will be volunteering on bringing something similiar to Haines Square.  One guy asked me "Why Haines Square" and I replied, "Cause it's East Medford Baby!"  He liked my answer.  We need to have events like this in all parts of the city.  Circle the city -that's what I say.

The weather was beautiful too.  What a nice day for Medford.  We need more days like this.
